Default cat size differnces and test pipe

i have a borla exhaust and obx header ready to put on my 98 base model 3kgt. but i want to get rid of the catalytic converter and sub in a test pipe. the header and exhaust though 2 diffrent brands are both fitted to my cat. i found a test pipe that is listed to apply to the SL and VR-4 but said nothing about the base model. i guess my question is do the SL cats have the same inlet and outlet sizes as the base. and any other pointers would be great. thanx.

Default Re: cat size differnces and test pipe

I believe the base and sl both fit a 2.5" test pipe.
Also i bought my tp off of Maximal Performance and would recomend for 40 bucks.
