Unhappy Car Boggs Out When Pedal Is Smashed.

Okay, when I floor it, or any high rpm action at all, the car jerks as if it was stalling. It is NOT my clutch, my clutch is perfect, I just can't think of anything else.

It's been to Dodge 2wce this week, and now it's doing this s***, they refuse to look at it for free.

Plugs and wires maybe? I have had this problem before, and that usually fixes it if said items are old. Either that or a coil pack(s) went bad.

If this was the problem, and it wasn't taken care of, would it result in my car not starting?

Fuel or spark issue, check the plugs, fuel filter, etc.

If you end up changing the plugs and wires, fuel filter, and confirm all the coil are good AND check the PTU check the base timing. I say to check this last because A) it shouldn't just get out of timing all of a sudden and B) the things listed above are much more likely to be the case.

I had the EXACT same problem....and fixed it last night!!! get a Scanmaster(or you can just check the wires @ the throttle control sensor) hook it up. I'd be willing to bet it will show that the throttle's open when you're not pressing the gas and when you press the gas it drops to Zero.

In my case the wiring going to the TCS was fuct. we peeled back the wire cover to discover it. reconnected the wires and I was good to go!
also you may want to check for boost leaks. I didn't have any symptoms but we did it and found a couple, easy fix. G/L

p.s. I'd be more than happy to try and walk you through anything/help if I can.

Did you ever fix this? What was it? I have same problem now and I'm 2nd gen. Go figure.

I too had cracked wire covering at the TPS harness. I elec taped each wire individually and then wrapped them all up. TPS seems to work fine, but I guess I could check the harness again and make sure its not hanging on by a thread. Still would like to know how you resolved yours if you ever did.

I also have new MSD 8.5's, new Denso Iridiums, and new fuel filter all maybe driven for 1000 miles over the past 3 years as the car has been sitting up.
