Default Brake Caliper Testing

Hey guys, didnt find any posts relating to this.

Im getting the common shaking at over 50 braking. Getting the rotors turned today. I was inspecting my calipers and only one piston of the 4 comes out when braking.(this is with the caliper off.) are they seized? It does this on both sides.

im thinking it could be cause just from there being the least resistance on that piston...so it comes out first...but the others should follow.

also i didnt see much movement at all of the pads when they were on the car and tested.

Any experience/advise on how to test them is greatly appriciated.

Yes if you apply the brakes and only 1 of 4 pistons comes out then yes I think you can call that caliper bad. It will definately cause it to shake when braking not to mention wear the rotors unevenly. Replace the caliper!
