That's called fuel cut.

fasten up and get ready for a learning curve. you really need to get the boost down to a safe 14psi. Learn datalogging, find out what turbo's you have. Do you have a safc what injectors. You could just have blow by and a bad guage. Search is your friend.

Post some pictures up of the engine bay (multiple from different angles), the interior (preferably the instrument cluster and any gauges you have), and we may be able to help tell you some things, like some of the mods you have and some suggestions.

Your "cutting out" could also be spark blowout from the sounds of it, but I would more than likely bet its fuel cut as suggested if you're legitimately boosting 20psi.

Removing the turbo timer isn't a big deal at all really, shouldn't cause you any problems. If you feel like you've done alot of heavy driving before you're about to shut it off, let it idle for 15-30 seconds or so, should be fine otherwise. Most people don't use them in 3/S's. It's like running high octane fuel when your car requires 87. Sure 93 is safer and more resistant to detonation, but you don't really need it.

well, actually, the turbo timer was dangling because the bolts vibrated out, and it just fell out of its holder thing and disconnected. but yeah, i can get some pictures of it after school since i dont have tennis practice (we've had like a match everyday almost, and that's why i post up so late at night usually, and i just finished my earth-science homework, but that only took like 15 minutes).

we haven't tampered with anything really. my dad actually turned down the boost on the g-reddy thing, and it was fine before that. and what exactly is a fuel cut. is it just like a rev limiter sort of? except it "cuts" the fuel so it doesn't over-do-it, so to say?

ok, i took as many pictures as i could. i didn't really know what was the most important part of the engine, so i took alot. (and the exhaust, since that's what that fuel cut thing said from little goose's post....) and as for the fuel cuts, will they go away once i lower the boost? and why is the car doing it now, after all of those other times we drove it, and haven't touched a thing?
