This is something that has gotten a little out of control. When a new member arrives and asks a question do NOT reply with just "Use the search button." If this is all you have to input then just don't reply at all. This is not to say that letting a new board user know that the information is just a search click away isn't good, but at least be tactful and polite.

With new owners comes new ideas both good and not so good. Turning away a new board user from the start could potentially turn away the next Matt Monnet, Ray Pampena, etc that could help our platform in immense ways.

The New Owner Questions forum is in place to not only aid new owners but also welcome them to the community. Imagine for a moment that you moved to a new unknown neighborhood. I doubt you would like it if asked your nextdoor neighbor for the name of a good landscaping company and their only response was "Look at the Yellow Pages" followed by slamming their door in your face.

Things should be NO different here!

Please be courteous, considerate, and understanding of the new arrivals and let's help them learn so they can contribute to the community as so many others have already done.
