Default Amsoil vs. Royal Purple motor oil?

I know people have had Royal Purple's motor oil stop the ticking they were hearing from their lifters. Has anyone had the same experience with Amsoil's motor oil? Trying to make a decision on which one to try next oil change, and I am looking for any insight into it. I am currently leaning towards Amsoil, but whether anyone has had the ticking noise go away with Amsoil will be a big factor. Thanks!

Royal Purple is an excellent oil- but in no means is the actual fix for lifter tick. For some it has worked- for others it hasn't. The results should be the same for Amsoil- hit or miss.
If you're looking for a true fix- you can either clean out your existing lifters in diesel fuel or replace them with the updated style lifters. Note that even the newer style lifters will develope a tick if the engine doesn't get regular oil changes. When i first bought my 92VR4- it had lifter tick that didn't go away regardless of what oil i used. I eventually replaced the lifters. While doing so- i found that it already had the newer style lifters in em.
