Default Alright new here and have a car buying question...

Ok so I have found a 3000GT i am very interested in buying but want to know what you all think...

Its a 1993 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 with 190K for $3500...

The good:
-Active Aero rear wing(was installed from the factory up to 1996 I believe), that still works after a recent rebuild.
-4 Wheel steering, still works like a charm.
-4 bolt main girdle (from 93 to 99), stronger bottom end to handle more power
-Active exhaust(from 92 to 95, i think... don't quote me. They discontinued it later on), still works
-Active suspension (again, early years to 95ish, don't quote me), that is ACTUALLY noticeable, still works great!
-New tires with about 1000 miles on them
-everything works including all the accessories that is famed to be broken on other cars.
-Turbo's are working like they should

The bad:

It has a few problems... there is primer over the original paint but can easily be wet sanded off or just repainted...
The Clutch master cylinder is leaking air...

The biggest thing is... the guy says the engine runs sluggish... He said it has absolutely no KNOCK but it runs sluggish and he thinks it may be an O2 sensor or timing is off... it drives at highway speeds just fine... it more feels like a non turbo car instead of feeling turboed like it should...

So my question is what could be wrong with the engine and how much am i looking at to fix the problem... and is the car worth the money especially with 190K on it?

Do you have a link to the car, or is it local?

You kind of contradict yourself when you say that it boosted great but that it runs sluggish.

Its local... well what i mean by that is that the turbos work fine and boost like they should but for some reason the engine runs sluggish

It could be a number of things. I would do some general maintenance first, plugs and wires, make sure it has good gas in it. The clutch leaking air, I'm not sure, but that could be a boost leak, and as a result could be the cause of the car running poorly.

Maybe someone with a little more knowledge can chime in.

It could be most likely the vacuum canister in the front right of the car in front of the tranny. Mine rusted out and caused a leak. I would check that and just do a vacuum reduction mod. Makes things a lot easier. (Realize you don't have the car yet but just an idea)

do a compression test...follow up with a pressure test....if its feeling sluggish then i would be you have some vacaumm leaks...if you do buy the car...do some general maintance to bring it up to par....never hurts to pull of the TB and clean it really well...
