Default almost at 130k....

95 SL Has had 100k (timing belt, etc.)

bought it at 115k, now has 130k and only had to replace the starter, but i got some dough, and wondering what i should be looking out for, or what the 120-130k maitenence calls for....im not referreing to my owners manual because we all know that is just a money pit. The car runs fine, has new outer and inner tie rods, and i gave it a new all wheel allignment when i bough tit a year ago...how often should you do aligments, should i do another one this year?? The car doesent really pull at all....im just looking to keep my baby around for a while...i love my 3k and wouldnt trade it for teh world and dont want it to die. The only problem is on cold starts she ticks a little, but after a minute or so it goes away...and my A/C compressor belt makes noise when i race her, untill i shut her off and let her chil out and then its fine. Probably gonna do an a/c delete and run a shorter belt. I mean besides this...what should i really b looking for??? I know that a 95 with 130k should have some maitenence done to it...i dont have any friends who own a 3k around here, i think im the only one with one actually....lol.

Where are you located? I'm sure there's some 3s guys around somewhere.

Might just check fluids and spark plugs/wires. The tick is your lifters. That can be solved by swapping in 99 lifters.

Other than that she sounds pretty alright.

yo thanks levi, i live upstate NY in a town called binghamton...pretty ghetto, ive only sceen 2 other 3k's in my entire life around here. How do you go about swapping in 99 lifters....how much would this cost where can u buy 99 lifters have u or someone u know done this or something?

P.S. i see u have a cruise delete....my car aint got no cruise control on it, dont work, how do i know if someone did a cruise delete or if its just messed up? I hit the cruise button, cruise pops up on the dash LED, then nothing happens after that whe i try to set it. Thad b cool if someone did the cruise delete i guess sense i wanna do an A/C delete...save some weight. I also have a JET ECU upgrade idk if that could have effected it somehow.

New York huh? There are some AWESOME guys up there. Oohnoo and my3kgtsl (i think thats his name) and a ton of others in the NY3s crew. Better look into some of the meets lol.

Yea my cruise did the EXACT same thing, the switch said on, the cruise said set but nothing happened. So I just decided to delete it and save the weight, it was actually quite easy minus getting up under the dash lol. There's a guide around here somewhere. I deleted the little box on the drive side engine bay and unplugged the cruise switch under the headunit.

The only thing the JET ECU upgrade kit will do (from what I've seen/read/believe) is just trick your computer to thinking your giving it more gas then you are, but wide open throttle is still wide open throttle. But thats okay lol and it shouldn't mess up your cruise. Cruise is ran off vaccum so I'd check vaccum lines or just visually inspect it or you could remove it like i did.

99 lifters...you can get them off ebay for an alright price, or find and pm almosn8ked (think thats it) just search 3rd generation lifters and you should find him. 3sx.com also has them and they're kinda expensive but idk. The guide is right here

thanks a bunch levi. I would like to appropiralty say that i know pretty much eveyrone around here and there is one 18 year old with a white 3k and someone wiht a first gen black 3k but that is all around here and i dont really know them more than by name. The JET ECU from what ive heard gains HP by inducing more fuel into making it understandable why i go through so much fuel consumption unless i add lucas fuel stabilizer, than i get decent MPG. But yeah.....i dont have any problems, i have a 1995 with almost 130k....i just cant believe it. I guess i bought the right car!

and shout out to feerriolum .... i been to utica, my fuckin ex used to date some fag from utica so i don like utica but you aiite man....if u ever come close to my area let me know im always down to meet 3s members sense i havent done so yet....

People in Utica are losers for the most part. I moved up from Long Island and currently live in Herkimer. I got my 3S from a guy in PA. I took Rt12 all the way down through Binghamton to get there lol. There's a few guys up here. One guy was trying to get a CNY club/meet going.

corning is pretty close my grandma used to live in lindley. Wish tehre was more closer locals though that i could talk cars with i feel like the only one around here! Let me know when theres a meet around ny and i will b there for sure
