Default 120k maintenance package ordered!

I'm sitting at 114,700, so a little while to go yet, but I went ahead and ordered my parts today from Rockville. They had the best prices on everything, and some nice package deals. Here's what I got

Hydraulic timing belt tensioner
Timing belt
Timing belt idler pulley
Timing belt tensioner pulley
water pump, o-ring and gasket ($299 for above parts bundle)
Oil return line gaskets -- part# MR258477 $1.05 each
oil pump w/front main seal ($140 for oil pump and oil pump gasket)
oil pump gasket
oil pump pick-up tube and gasket
oil filter assmembly gasket
oil coler bypass valve -- part# MD356695 $24.47
main bearings, rod bearings, thrust bearings (full sets)
camshaft seals -- part# MD152603 $6.85 each
valve stem seals -- part# MD307343 $3.34 each
valve cover gaskets -- part# MD186786 $14.06 each
spark plug gaskets -- part# MD186787 $4.04 each
throttle body gasket -- part# MD180361 $1.78
intake manifold plenum gasket -- part# MD143791 $6.70
rear turbo intercooler pipe o-ring -- part# MD090788 $3.66
turbo feed line copper crush washers
oil cooler line copper crush washers

$871 shipped for all that, not bad. I may do accessory belts when the time comes, but they look to be pretty new, so I didn't bother to order them.

Also got a nice EGR block off kit that will be installed at the same time.

Sounds like you got a great deal. You will have your work cut out for you when it comes time do the install.
Thats good to be prepared that way you will have your parts on hand once you get to that point. Is Rockville, IPS Motorsports?

Are you doing a 120K or a rebuild? You wouldn't need to add much more than a set of rings, head gasekts, and a rear main seal to your list to go ahead and do a rebuild. And to replace all the stuff you listed, you'd be better off pulling the engine out of the car anyway.

Rockville is actually a Mitsu dealer, and they give a nice discount to 3SI members. They deal OEM parts only.

I'm not sure if the plan is to pull it, or leave it in the car. A fellow 3SI'er is doing the work. I don't have any issues with the VR-4 currently. My oil pressure is probably a bit low, sits 2 ticks from the bottom at idle. Just trying to knock out as much as possible when the time comes

I would definatley pull the engine if I were you. I did everything on your list minus the rod bearing/main bearings/thrust washers but I did VSS/3rd gen lifters/motor mounts. Since you are doing cam seals you are going to have to pull out the cams which is great for doing 3rd gen lifters but the VSS is still a PITA with the engine in the car. (Check out the group buy section for a great deal on 3rd gen lifters) Pull the engine and whoever is working for you will thank you later.

Yeah, that's kinda what I was getting at too. I've done most of that stuff with the engine in the car before, and I swore I'd never do it again without pulling the engine. And I haven't.

Pulling the engine is what...a 3 hour job with hand tools when you know what you are doing? I don't hardly do ANYTHING without pulling then engine...makes for good practice and a clean job.

Zeph do you do all your own work? Have you had any practice replacing the throw out bearing? On start up mine is making some noise. When the clutch is in no more noise. After I drive around for about 5 minutes the noise disappears altogether.
