Really? With spray paint?

Maybe I'll give it a shot on my car.

Why not, It is just Single stage paint. The only reason spray paint is hard to use is the tip and spray pattern.

Yup, it just makes it hard to get the even coats. i painted my sails with a bumper paint can, and another can of clear coat b/c i was lazy, and it looks great!

The biggest problem with rattle can paint, most of the time, is that it offers little to no UV protection. Nor does a lot of the "auto touchup" paint.

Spray it, then wet sand the spray once it's drylay it on thick, and wet sand upward of 1000-3000 grit range, the as previously mentioned, buff and polish, then wax. PM for details

after wet sanding use McGuire’s fine cut or McGuire’s swirl remover. the stuff is literally worth its weight in gold. its amazing how smooth and glossy the paint will look. the stuff comes in a red plastic bottle and its basically a liquid abrasive that will get rid of orange peal and even some scratches. its available at most true values or napa's. i don’t know how it will work without clear coat though. worth a shot After painting and wet sanding use the fine cut then the swirl remover then a wax. your car should look great.
