Default Repaint or ??

I have a purplish 3kgt and personally I don't really like the color... so was wonderinf if i should repaint or not. If not then keep it or does anyone have any ideas of what to do with it. I plan on putting on CF hood/sunroof and hatch. If I do repaint it how difficult/cost of doing the engine bay also? So i thought white or black but i rather get some advice before.

I would personally repaint it because I hate the color purple. I recently helped my father prep our Corvette and we had about 30 or 40 hours of prep work but it turned out really well. It's now black but it was brown before, we got it done professionally and it cost $5000 but it is show quality paint...

If the paint really bathers you just prep it and go to Maco.

to paint the engine bay properly, you really need to remove the engine and all the tubing etc from the fenderwells, not really that practical considering the values of the car today. Its better to just do a color change on the panels you can do easily, and not worry about the engine bay, Its better to find a color that will go with the existing purple.

A good paint job will cost more than the car is worth, so i'd be considering cheaper paint jobs instead, at least until you see values start to increase again, then maybe consider a professional repaint. If you really can't stand the color, by all means get it repainted, after all YOU have to look at it everytime you walk out to the car.

Yeah I thought if i could find some carbon fiber that has the woven colors in it that matched pretty well i would go with that and keep it stock... otherwise i'm not really sure, purple is such a freakin weird color you can't really match it up with much

Your current Paint looks awesome, judging by the Pic. I would leave it or buy another 3S.

its supposed to be some maroon/burgundy red but in all honesty it looks purple untill you get up close. The real problem i'm having is the carbon fiber would look really awkward on a purplish/red car

Only way to find out with out spending money is to take some more pics and then have some one photoshop it.

This is what I came up with in Paint. I will photoshop in morning for ya if you want.

I think it would look decent with the black/Puplish paint schemes!!

Hope it helps,
Ice
