Default Gonna buy a CF hood, what do I need?

I'm wanting to get a new carbon fiber hood to replace the stock hood , what else do I need to think about when installing it? Am I gonna need hood pins or are there any alternatives to hood security that don't kill the sleek and clean look ?

Am I gonna need anything else?

You wont be able to use the stock hood struts, they are to strong and will bow your hood. You need a pop rod or 3sx sells hood struts that are not as strong.

Buy them, haha. JK Deft sells some sleek hood pin setups that are almost flush.

Hate to bump this again, but is it just to open the hood?

So i need the buy the 90 dollar struts off of 3sx? I can just mount the new hood?

Just don't use any struts. Its not a big deal, you will just need to get something to hold the hood open like a stick or something.

You are thinking of the latch, not the struts.

I thought it was secured in place by the struts.
