well, as summer draws to a close and the 8 month winter season here in WI starts soon : ) i need things to keep me busy. the tranny will be replaced, and i will continue on improving my engine bay. however i do have one aching question: the combat wing...is it for me???
also, anyone with knowledge of it, do the mount holes happen to coincide with the hoop spoiler mount holes? (i know it's a long ass shot) if at all possible, i am considering finding some kind of colored foam inserts for the quarter panel mounts so i am able to switch back and forth between the two (just because i can.) so...opinions?
You will have holes in your rear fenders if you switch. If you dont plan on fixing them up, or even repainting the rear fenders, I would say nay, considering your paint is practically brand new.

repainting isnt a big problem seeing as how the wing would have to be painted anyways. plus there are a lot of spots that could probably use a respray after close inspection.
just lookin for things to do...i got nuthin but spare time.
buy an n/a 91-96 wing. cut the ends off it. mount it where the center of the hoop is & leave the side pieces in place. fiberglass the center wing to cap it off on both ends.
viola! a cheap hsx style spoiler.
p.s.
ok, so it's a "little" more complex than this...but i've been thinking about doing something like this for a while....
compat all the way. Form+Function = win-win. The hoop may be pretty, but the 99 wing will match the aggressiveness of the frontend of your car, and will be much more functional than a hoop
