I was sanding on my car the other day (prepping it for paint) and I took a look at my rim that had a little curb rash on it, and thought to myself "Maybe I can fix that." After a little bit of sanding (20 minutes) with 220-320 grit WetOrDry by 3M, I was able to pretty much smooth out the rim, only problem though is that I sanded through whatever coat to get to it, and that brings me to my question
I decided I wanted to get them painted black (deciding between flat and glossy), but what would be a good way to go? Would powdercoating a rim be a good idea, and after that could it be clear coated? I am not sure what painting a rim requires but if someone has the details on this it would be greatly appreciated. |
