Default Candy Color Cars

Hey. I'm looking to paint my 94 3GT and I was thinking about candy apple red or something to that affect. Does anyone have any pictures of a candy color painted 3GT or Stealth?

no, but you can check out House of Kolor to check out their kandies. they've got a nice selection of Kandy colorcoats, in both a basecoat type paint and as a concentrate that you add to clears. Kandy tends to be something a pro paints though, as shading can be an issue if you don't get the coats even. My avatar pic is a HOK pearl.

what i was thinking about doing is pouring like 6 gallons of gloss on my car (not literally) to get that real deep wet shine that is soo popular down here in texas. candy is great, and adds depth, but i like my color.

Cool...i dont know enough about paints. People tell me that there are special techniques when painting a candy color. Its not like regular paint. So painting a car candy color more expensive or same? I know the paint itself if more expensive.

Kandy has depth to it, depending on the base and kandy coat will depend on how bright it is. Those aren't the best pics to show it off and kandy always looks better in person.

Kandy is sprayed in layers to give it depth, so it uses more paint, and is more time consuming than a reguar paint job so it costs a lot more than a regular paint job. They have to prep the car, primer it, spray it with the base coat, spray many layers of kandy then a few coats of clear to give it a deep shine.

usually a silver base coat and that makes the candy pop i was thinking of this colour for my car. i also saw in a mag last week a car with a carbon hood sprayed with the candy paint and you can still see the weave under it,looked awsome.
