First off I'm planning on picking a 1st gen VR4 within the next month or so..
Second I'm planning on doing a full 99 conversion.
I know a little about cars I can do minor things (install blow ff valves, remove bumpers, etc..) Is a 99 conversion a hard job to do?
How many hours does it take to complete on average?
Whats the avg cost for a full 99 conversion and a stock looking paint job?
I'm not trying to be redundant, just trying to get some information before I jump into something I will regret starting.
I consider a full 99 conversion: bumper, headlights, turn signal, sail panel, rear garnish and combat wing (OEM or Cianci)
I did all that on mine + a full paint job (new color). I dont do body work, but I did all this. Hit up 3sx.com for prices on the gear. It took me about 2 months, working on it 2 nights a week, each night about 3-4hours (including paint job and other stuff, like VLS). Paint price, i dunno...stay away from Maacco. I was told my job (jaming and stuff included) would cost about 3-4k. Check my site out for a ton of pictures in my gallery that I took during the 99 conversion project, www.MyVR4.net
nm, I just saw you had caps installed. I'm a computer engineer and I figured it out I get errors too when opening it, just click ignore. I'll see if I can find them.
I could get it to open, just couldnt figure out the actual user interface. :crap:
Anyone who ordered from this website, how much was shipping on the bumper?

hey guys, saw the thread, ive actually been researching for a while now, and so far this is what i came up with... (shipping will probably vary depending on your particular location...)
Complete FRONT 99 conversion (no rear garnish or sail panels)
this includes bumper, headlights, corner signals...complete packages shipped to me price:
now, none of this includes hardware or brackets...i've got enough lying around somewhere to make it work, so you'd have to figure that in, but hope this helps everyone

Reason: specify both corner signals..
i have heard that the dodge stelth headlights would work with the 99 bumper ? if so would they be any cheaper?
also can the extra brackets needed to mount the front bumper be made with some flat steel or something i am not worried about it being factory flawless i just want it to look like a 99 with a flawless body

Yes they do, and I think you could find them for cheaper. It's usually guys who already have a stealth that do that though. The stealth lights are flat instead of bubbled, and also leave a small corner gap ... there's pics of the different setups on (I believe?) 3SX.com.
You can make the brackets, but honestly, at like $80 for all of them, it'll take a lot of test fitting, bending, drilling, stretching, and other nasty stuff. I'd just cough up the cash for them, it's complex curves.
