Eh, in a SOHC you will probably never exceed what the XTD can hold, but the Southbend is still a better clutch if you can afford it. I'm running a 3.5 swapped n/a and the stock clutch simply couldnt hold it. I went with the XTD stage 2 at first because I was tight on funds. I put probably 25+ drag passes on it and about 10k miles and it was still working just fine. Just for peace of mind, I swapped it out for the Southbend stage 2 about a year ago, and I just like the feel of the Southbend better. The XTD had some minimal chatter to it which was amplified by the solid mounts. The Southbend has a very light pedal feel, excellent holding power, smooth and precise engagement. If you can afford to do it right the first time, I'd go with the southbend, but if you are on a budget, the XTD will hold up just fine.

Actually, (just thought of this) the Southbend stage 1 clutch is rated to hold about the same amount of power as the XTD stage 2. On IPS' site, the Southbend stage 1 is only $175 shipped. Since you are on a budget, I'd go with that one.
I really loved my Southbend TZ it lasted me 90k miles. The OEM lasted me 105k(only 25k of my own driving) I went cheap w/ a ebay clutch this last time and have maybe 20k on it so far.
Prefer the TZ of them all. It doesn't like to overheat(repeated launches).

that sounds cool, if i can find a used TZ, that would be awsome, i mayt just go with the stage 1 southbend, since im on a budget, but i would like to find a used or new TZ,. to buy going to buy something by monday.
I've always heard good things about the southbend. My spec stage 2 clutch just went out on me. With only 11k miles on it. And I did a really nice 2k mile break in it too. Only lasted a summer.
