Transmission swap

hey guys I kno that this particular topic may have already been started before (although i have looked ) and i feel kinda dumb asking it but I have a 98 3000GT SL auto that ive found a 5sp transfer case and a line on getting a tranny for. What other parts will I need to complete the swap?

to complete a 5sp swap u need a shifter, shifter linkage, the padle ass. (the three padles) clutch master cylinder,(when u do the sawp u will have to make ur own holes in the fire wall for the clu.mas.cyl) and the line to the slave cylinder.

Its really not that hard if the motor is out of the way. I would say maybe a day to complete it at the longest.

you found a 5speed transfer case? Those are for AWD cars. Your car is front wheel drive. You should get a FWD 5-speed trans. You will need the transmission, Clutch set, Flywheel, Slave and master cylinders, hard line for running the fluid, Clutch/break pedal assembly, shifter cables and mounts, Shifter plate and assembly, shift boot, shift knob, passanger and driver side half shafts. I have all those parts if you are interested. Clutch and flywheel are brand new.

im getting ready to do a rebuild on my broke motor in my 92 3000gt i cant bear to let it go . but if i do i would love to convert to manual .how much work is involved and expense i really love my car but putting another auto in it doesnt turn my gears lol im in ky tom

if thats still for sale how much and is that everything you need for a swap 2 bcome a manual, and itl work in my 95 base model right? and wats you estimate for tha labor at a shop?

hey Did this swap ever happen? if so maybe you could help give me some insite because im currently working on removing mine and the new tranny looks a little diffrent and could use some help also. i think i have all the parts but the new tranny has hoses on the top that i do not see on my auto tranny.mine is also a 3000gt sl 92.

On an ATX, Hoses on the top are for the trans-cooler that runs infront of the radiator. Do manuals have trans-coolers like auto's do?
