I bought my 95 3000GT N/A last september. Somewhere in february my throw out bearing started squealing. About 2 weeks later it started shifting so hard i could barely get it in gear. Well in March, i park the p.o.s. and last weekend(JUNE) i finally replaced the throw out so as long as i had the tranny down i put a stage 2 clutch and pressure plate in as well. I drove it home(3 1/2 hours away), and it ran fine. The next day i was on my way to an interview and the throw out started squealing again. On the way back, as if someone flipped a switch, it started shifting hard again. The clutch pedal goes in pretty easy at first then about 2 inches from the boards it feels like a notch. Once past the notch it just hits the floor. So today i bled the slave and still the same thing. Since I cant get it in gear while its running, i have to turn it off, put it in gear and then start it. When i start it, it tries to move forward so obviously the clutch is still engaged even tho the pedal is all the way to the floor. Im clueless, and what the hell is that other little box linked to the slave? If someone could help me out it would be much apprieciated. Im about to ramp it off into lake michigan.

the little box down line from the slave is there to give you a smooth clutch release ...makes it easier to release without havin that jerky motion when you realease the clutch.
squeeze the boot (rubber peice that is on the shaft of the slave cylender) of the slave cylender ... is there fluid in there? if there is then its the slave. if theres fluid inside the car comming out of the shaft goin to the master .... then its the master. however there could be other problems that happen to the master that dont cuase fluid inside the car |
