Default project idea for mounting motor in rear

With people trying to get these cars to set up for rear wheel drive, it made me think of a project idea for a 3s car. Do you think it would be impossible to take apart the entire back end of the car and set up the motor in the back like farrari style. Make the car a rear wheel drive and stick the gas tank in the front of the car. Obviously this is a long shot because you would have to dismantle pretty much the whole car and get it to fit on the opposite side of the car but theres build teams out there that have handled tougher jobs than this. Don't jump at me for having an idea like this I'm just seeing what people know about the car's room and what are the chances it could work

Not completely related, but this guy did a twin engine DSM. So I'm sure you could manage to do a rear engine 3s, but It certainly wouldnt be cheap.

i was thinking about doing it...with a fwd tranny above the rear wheels, welding skills, and the tools, you could do it

its not impossible but, i mean BUT, it will be extremly difficult. you would have to cut out a lot of the structure of the rear end and then create a whole new subframe as well as body support and stiffining or the car will twist apart in the turns

Consuming3000GT - that video made my night. That guy is a nutcase, but looks like it would be fun as hell to drive. Someone should take that beast to the track!
