Default Need help

So last night i was driving home when i noticed i couldn't get over 45 mph. It wouldn't shift into a higher gear. So i pull over and notice there is a little bit of a burning smell. Being that i am out in the middle of no where and none of my friends are picking up their phone i decide to chance it. I get a few more miles still not being able to get past 45. And the car starts jerking and my speed is cut in half. Get stopped at a light and the car wont move. Only thing that is working is reverse.

Bottom line is a i think i am screwed i think its the transmission but i am not a 100% sure. Fluids are fine as well. Any thoughts though?

sounds like the trans needs a rebuild, i'd guess you lost 3&4 gear, maybe second, then it heated up up and you lost the rest, it wont go anywhere cause the clutches inside the trans are toast and wont grab anything.

That seems to be the case... Had it towed to Aamco on monday. Good news is the extended warranty i bought for the car is going to cover it. So i guess i lucked out there.
