Default I am a dumbass, help me out!!!

my car has been down for over 6 months due to extensive abuse and lack of care.(no flame please, as i already admitted that i am a dumbass.) Finally i get a break from school and now i am trying to get this thing running again. We are talking about a 98 gt with sohc. I have to change all the spark plug wires and plugs because one wire was burned causing the cylinder misfiring. my front and back engine mounts are doodled, and my driver side axle is gone. here's the problem i am encounting:

problem 1. I got the axle out, and now i am reconnecting the mid-shaft to the main one. The problem is the mid-shaft has two little o-ring cover things to keep the dirt from going into the gear, and when i lost one if them. Is it going to be a problem?
problem 2: when i tried to reconnect those two piece of the driver side axle, it seems like there's a gap. I tried to slam that s(**TT as hard as i could, but it doesn't close. Is the gap normal?(I included some pics hope it make more sense)
Problem 3: I cannot get the rear engine mount back in place, there are too many things in the way, do i really have to get up the engine? how did you do it?

I would appreciate all inputs...

With regards to the mounts:

Engine Mounts*-*Mitsubishi 3000GT*/*Dodge Stealth

Get SOMETHING from that page.

Good grief. Mounts like that directly CAUSE blown downpipes and tranny seals to fail.

As for the halfshaft gap, that looks about normal for the other dust cover to be missing - I just looked at a couple used shafts in the back. That seal runs about $20 if you need one.

Do the mounts in order (front to back, then left to right) or vice versa. And a friend always helps lol
