So, driving normally, I downshifted to slow down and I felt the clutch pedal not return back to it's normal position. I pulled off, the car stays running but will not engage gears, but if forced, it slams and shuts down. Is this the clutch that's dead? When I try to push the clutch in, the clutch vibrates. I hope it's the clutch and not the tranny. I have a 95 Stealth SOHC NA

Check to see if the clutch slave cylinder is full, its tucked up by the break master cylinder.

Alot of people replace the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder at the same time whenever one gives them problems. You may want to consider if you find any problems with either.

My buddy craig (who's also a 3SI member, just dont remember his handle) Has a slave cylinder and can order a master for me as well. I only hope that this issue IS the cylinder and not the actual hydraulic line. Funny thing is that I havent lost a drop of fluid, so I dont think it's that, but it's worth replacing.
