Well, your car "should" have a 25 spline. But since it is 15 yrs old there is a chance someone replaced it with an 18 spline setup.
Only way to know is to pull the TC.

From what I understand some 93s came with 18 and some came with 25. It was dependent on build date.
It will take an hour or so but a way to find out is to take your case off and count the splines. (I don't know of another way) |

on the 25 there should be a "sight" hole right where it says getrag i believe but dont exactly quote me on that

What type of Transfer Case??
So does a 93 vr4 has a 18 spline or a 25 spline TC? And if you need to replace it will either one work or you have to go with the specific one?
