"bakin" with a k

I'm looking for a decent press to rebuild my transmission
any stay away advice anything particular i would need like width, working stroke, or what not I'm just needing a basic cheep one. I was looking at THIS ONE any input is appreciated

I was able to do it with the 12 ton version from harbor freight. The only thing is I had to cut the base in two pieces so I could make the hole inbetween wider. This let the wide gears etc fit in.

I just rebuilt my transmission using 20-ton similar to the one in the link.
Worked fine for transmission, but this press was too weak to deal with the bevel gear on spool/coupler in the transfer case. That thing takes a LOT of force to move.

I would look at this one : 20 Ton Hydraulic Shop Press - Greg Smith Equipment Sales, Inc.
pretty much the same thing for much cheaper. (except for the whole shipping issue?)

I've got that 20 ton press from HF. Works great...I've had it a while...no complaints. Once you build up some tooling for it, you can do about anything.
