so from what i understand, if you paid to have it fixed, mitsubishi will reimburse you for it? I took mine to a shop, who sent it to kormex, costing me over $3000, will mitsu give me my money back?

Yes, you can get your money back but if you do that then they wont replace your TC. I would rather get a new one but I still don't knw if the new ones are redesigned. I don't think they have really fixed the problem properly. It's just a new bandaid.

This still isn't clear to me. I had my car checked out at the dealer for the recall and it checked out OK. Now if my TC locks up, breaks, cracks or whatever I can still take it in to be replaced under the recall? What if it keeps breaking does the recall still cover it?

They will make it hard for you becasue it's an expensive fix but if you have any problems with it after the recall is done then call Transport Canada or the NHTSA. If enough people have problems after the recall is done they will have to do it again.

What's the matter guys - Don't want to read the 70 page orig t-case thread
![]() If the dealer runs your vin number and it comes back the the recall has been performed they are obligated to fix it again. It's the dealers choice. In my case, they chose to fix it again, more than a year after I had the recall performed. SJ
