Picked my car up tonight. Everything was fine. They needed to replace one seal and they replaced the brake lines. Car drives normal. Glynn was able to identify a noise that I was having in my front end, so I can finally get that repaired. Sway bar bushings and front end links...cheap fix

Anyways, I wish the rest of you guys all the luck. Glynn said when he took my TC apart it looked fine, so that was good news.

Hey, if we work hard enough, maybe we can get a recall on our cars for being so heavy but then again you can win'em all.

I'd say wait until one of us that had to rebiuld their tranny and xfer case, to see if there is a true reinbursment. If so, everybody go get the trannss and Xfer cases rebiult and send in the reciepts.

Default I sent in my receipts

i had my transfer case lockup on me a year ago and strip my output shaft and also cause my new clutch with only 4000 miles on it to be damaged. I sent everything certified mail and they received it on December 23rd so ill let everyone know what happens with the reimbursements.

Talking no problem

too bad i ended up having to pay 5800$ for everything on mine and had to take out a stupid loan at 13% interest to pay for it because it came at a bad time. I still have yet to hear anything from them, so as soon as i get wind of whats going to happen ill let everyone know. Wish me luck

Talking Got the Letter Today

i received my reply from Mits today saying i would be reinbursed 3700$ for my tranny/transfer case failure. They wouldnt cover the cost of the new clutch it caused me to buy or the interest on the loan, which was just a shot in the dark to begin with. Im pretty happy to get the money back regardless of if its the full price i paid or not. The check is in the mail and i should have it within two weeks. I hope everyone else has the same results i did, Im glad Mits took care of this in a timely fashion.

I just got the call from Mits today. What a WONDERFUL day, today has turned out to be.They told me that they couldn't reimburse the money on the clutch, but everything else was okay. I told her about the clutch only havving 20-30 thousand miles on it, and one of the springs fell out, and the plate hade a crack in it. She called me back to tell me, that she would submit that to the engineers if I could find the receipt when I have the work done, and they would probably pay for that too. yyyyyyyyyyyyyyeeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhhaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! That almost puts the total to $4000.00. I feel so much better about my money pit.
By the way, All Atlanta peeps should get their Transmission-Xcase work done at Autostar in Stockbridge 770.506.0305. Armond Lemon (RacerX) is helping Randy.
