Yeah mine is going in to Frank Parra Mitsu tomorrow to get the new t-case and brake lines and I think get a squeeky belt tightened.... But they gave me no hassle... When I told them it was a TT their eyes widened up..... And because of that the boost is being turned down to wg pressure.... I will let you all know how it goes.... I have no idea how long its going to be in there...

By model, yes, however I'm not sure how American NHTSA recalls affect owners ouside the US. I would hope that Auto manufacurers would fix their cars worldwide, but I image they are under no legal obligation to do so.

Question For those of you that have been compensated by MMC for replacing the TC prior to the recall.

Did you have to bring in the paper work to your local dealer? That's what I was told to do but would like to hear any other options as the local dealership can be very hard to work with. Thanks!

Talking Re: Transfer Case Recall - IMPORTANT, Pleas Read!!!!

Just to add my 2 cents.

3 and a half years ago, my transfer case failed, blowing my clutch and stripping the rear driveshaft. I spent about 3 grand fixing it. I was quite frustrated. Then in the fall of 2003 (about 2 years after the failure) I get the recall notice from Chrysler about the transfer case. I called them up and told them my story. They said, send us the invoice and we will see what we can do. Once I found the original receipt (it was totally buried in the back of a file drawer), I sent it to them. About 6 weeks later, on Christmas Eve no less, I received a check for the total amount I spent on fixing the problem. Talk about a nice Christmas present. I ended up putting a new suspension in the car

So what if you take it to a delership they look at it for 15 minutes then say its fine and does not need the recall and it and signs it off. Do they have to do the seals at minimum?
