Insurance. But they classified it as a no-fault accident, so my rates didn't go up, but of course State Farm decided they would try and fuck me anyway. LOL Rate restructuring. Of course this was 3 months later. Hahaha. I'm with progressive now.

I have a 95 Jap import VR4 here in Ireland - does this recall apply to US owned cars only? or at a global level?

Can I just take my VR4 to a Mitsui dealer and get them to sort it out??

Sudo.

ROD,
That is basically how the process works. But understand that yes, their web site is behind, and Eduardo will probably send me an email with an official Recall # before it even gets posted/updated on their site. So, just kick back and wait a while. This isn't something that is going to happen over-night. Eduardo is just relaying info after each individual step has been completed. We (Not I, cause I have a 91 ) are at the last step now.

Sudo,
You to will have to wait for an official Recall #. I would think that this is a US Recall only, since Mitsubishi is an international corporation. It should apply reguardless of where you live.

Sean

PS, Sorry I wasn't on the board this weekend. No internet access at the new house yet

Default wait a minute

I've kinda ignored all the talk about the transfer case cause I thought my transfer case was fine, but then after reading one of the descriptions of the problems I realized I have this issue. I've always wondered about that thud when shifting or letting off the gas. Always bothered the hell out of me. And sincewhen I shifted nice and granny like it didn't happen I figured it was something I was doing. Just wanted to thank you guys for getting all this arranged. Gotta love the support the 3s community has for one another. Now let's just pray we get new transfer cases and not just new rings. I want the thud gone, not just no lockup. Thank again guys,
-Jason

what actually causes the thud? The Lack of oil?
How hard is it to fill up the TC's if they are leaking and what type of oil should we put in them to hold off till the recall is complete.

Default leaking like a mofo

I replaced my transfer case over a year ago and the damn thing still leaks. It would be really nice if I were to get my money back from replacing my transfer case since I did it at a mitsu dealer, and yes, it was too damn much. I still have all receipts to prove it.
