That's BS, they should be able to pull up your VIN number and see if the recall has been performed. If it has been, but the TC is still leaking, they are required to fix it again.

well this is the scoop so far..i called a bunch of dealers in my area and the first guy told me that he couldn't find out if my car had got it done, so i called two more dealerships and talked to two different guys both tellin me that they would call me back about it. only one of them called, and fortunately for me this guy was cool about it and did some research and gave me this hotline number to call to see whether or not my car has got the recalls done. so i call the number up and this lady was able to tell me that yes there are recalls for my car and no my car has not been serviced for them.. she even gave me a number to the nearest dealer that would look at my car and possibly repair it under the recall order..

heres the number for the hotline in case any of you would like to call to check up on your car.. 1888-648-7820

I had the transfer Case replaced under recall about a year and a half ago. The transfer case is whinning very loud now and the fluid has leaked out. You can actually see it leaking out one of the seams as soon as you pour the oil in. I read through the recall, but I don't see anything about replacing it everytime it leaks. Is it true that they will replace it again?

I'm sure they're supposed to replace it if the new one fails. The question is will they replace it if the new one fails.
As with any dealings with the dealership, you go in confident, telling them that you deserve a new one and not asking if you deserve a new one.
No doubt there will be a battle.

hmm not sure if that will be quite as easy tho...bc if a recall was done and a brand new TC was installed, since that is a new TC there is NO RECALL on those. just the older ones. so the chances of getting a new one are slim. i think it would kind of being like a "lifetime warranty" on it. which isnt the case. i dont think they are required to replace the "recall" case after the fact bc that one is deemed safe by federal standards im assuming and whatever the problem was before has probably been remedied on the new one.
