Looks like I'm headed back to the dealership this morning. While getting my oil changed yesterday, the guy in the pit noticed a my t-case fill plug was almost all the way out. He called me down there to look, and when he took it out we noticed the damn plug / t-case was cross threaded & stripped. The t-case was almost empty of gear oil. He also noticed oil coming from the drain plug. He screwed the fill plug back in, but even by hand, it just spins in the hole

I called the dealership that performed the recall last year, explaining that they were the last ones to touch the t-case & the Supervisor told me to bring the car in this am.

I'll keep you all posted.

SJ

PS: It was a scary ride home last night & on the way into work this morning. 15 miles of curvy roads, 1 lane on each side of the road, no median, no shoulder & plenty of trees to stop the car if it were to lock up

UPDATE

The car is still at the dealer Instead of just installing a new t-case, the idiots took the t-case apart, drilled & retapped threads, but they now can't find plugs to fit the new holes. IDIOTS!
