I was wondering if anyone had, or had access to, the offical step by step that mitsu/dodge mechanics are supposed to follow? i'm starting to put together a legal case against this dealer for cracking my trans, also during the recall they left my vent cap off, and even after having that put back on it's still leaking.

YESSSSSSSS my transfer case is leaking
sweet deal ![]() edit: damn, I just read like almost all 61 pages of this thing... sounds like most of you are getting screwed. My car was sent to Mitsu in July (right before I bought it) for the recall and they said there were no leaks. Well currently, the whole underside of my car is drenched in oil, and other orange and brown miscellaneous fluids, and the transfer case is definitely saturated so i'm sure that must be one of the things that is leaking. I REALLY hope since my car was sent to Mitsu once they don't try and tell me it's already been "taken care of"

Damn this thread got big. So, Jenna do you know wether or not the sealring on the transfer case was a part of your recall at the time you took it to Mitsubishi. When I took mine - about a year ago, the bastards miss-threaded the fill plug, so it's currently carefully screwed in. How long it'll last, who knows.

...I have no idea. I thought they were supposed to fix whatever was broken on the tc? I have the invoice right here... this is what it says: A CUST STATE PERFORM OPEN RECALLS (C0203N) (TRANSFER CASE) CAUSE: INSPECT PER RECALL DCHCK INSPECT TRANSFER CASE FOR LEAKS - VEHICLE OK AT THIS TIME 362 WPM R.O. OPENED: 7:52 READY: 8:28 So apparently it took em about 30 minutes to check, and apparently they noticed nothing was wrong... I just hope it doesnt count as my only recall visit to Mitsu. I should call them today... |
