Has anyone had a similar situation to mine, and if so how'd you handle it?
I had mine checked under recall last summer. They inspected it and said it was fine. Last week it locked up on the highway, not only was the outer housing cracked, when we opened it up the gears and bearings are shot, and it was completely dry - even tho it'd been completely refilled a couple weeks before when replacing my clutch. Think I can get anywhere with the recall, or should I just proceed as if there was none?

Just bought a 92' Vr4 -- called it up for recall, they entered the VIN and said, Nope, Nothing... --- Whats that mean?!?!? I mean, the T-case is empty, Completely, and the mechanic I had look at it recommended the "recall" .... this has probably been asked before, but, Im looking still as I keep going, and, Im just frustrated, they said
"Some work was done on it in.... 1/1/03, but, it doesnt say what" and then they say there is no active recall on my car. ... =( (ignore me if this has been posted before...) |

yes they recalled it. if you call up and they say there is no recall on your VIN it is possible that it has been done already and what they actually mean is there is no OPEN recall on your VIN. or, they may just be dumbasses.
