Interesting... I talked to Chrysler on friday and they said there was no recall. I then phoned Transport Canada on Tuesday and they said Chrysler would probably not respond to the information sent by Transport Canada untill all the problems were worked out. But I also asked about what cars would be recalled and they said some cars might not be recalled. So I don't know about the 91's I thought they were ging ot be done again and they should but We'll have ot see what they say. I'll call again tomorrow.. If I don't get a responce then I'll be calling TV stations monday or tuesday.

Like I said, After I talked to Chrysler, I called the dealer they did a VIN lookup on my vehicle, the B17 recall finally showed up. Proof it has been launched.
All I can say is...call Chrysler again...the recall was just launched Wednesday morning.

I just got a phonecall from DCC and setup the time for the installation of the TC.

They were awful nice, it was little scary all the sudden.

They said they are sending the new TC from the States, it takes about 2 weeks to send it to the Dealership.

They will also pay the bills regarding this problem they said..(tow bill...etc)

wow, how wonderful. Crazy.

Hey Mike, they are doing it. I am sure you get it, too. Nigel is not calling, but DC did.

I think if you go to a dealership now, they will get the news.

I will have to talk to the people at the dealership about my tranny, I wonder if they will replace that.. it is caused by the TC failure, but they may not fix it....

Exclamation

To ANYONE who gets their TC replaced under the recall (Canada or US):

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO GET THE PART NUMBER OFF THE REPLACEMENT TRANSFER CASE!!! THIS IS VITAL TO DETERMINE IF MITSU ACTUALLY CHANGED ANYTHING IN THE DESIGN/CONSTRUCTION TO IMPROVE IT, OR IF THEY'RE SIMPLY REPLACING THE DEFECTIVE UNITS WITH NEW UNITS OF THE SAME OLD DESIGN.

Thanks!

I have a 1992 VR-4 and my TC used to leak. It has been fixed, but now it is hard to change the oil (transmission).

I am from Europe. Does the recall affect me too? Can someone explain the procedure, what exactly should I do? And what should I say to the mechanic? Is the dealeriship going to deal with this or how?

Thanks,
Luke

Default Replacement

Okay. Before this "recall" was initiated, i went ahead and replaced my TC and Output shaft. Do you think Mitsubishi will reimburse me for the parts?? I had a mechanic put it on, but i still had to pay for the parts?

What do you guys think?
