Check with imajin he's got a T-case with 80k miles and a Jspec tranny with 25k miles. The tranny case is cracked underneath the tranny mount that bolts on the passenger fender.

ShaWTiMe: You need to call Mitsu and confirm the recall with them. The dealer can check your VIN and see if there's an active recall... fight this!

And if they won't recall it, don't spend $5500, buy it from Kormex for under $2000 and find another 3s'er to help you install.

One question, though... in what way was your tranny damaged? VCU? Or what? I ask because mine fried on Friday also and I'm trying to convince my warranty company to cover the tranny also..

Ive been tryin not to pay the 5500 for the complete setup, im lookin around for some prices about the kormex. Well, from what my mechanic says, he said all the racing the previous driver did on the car busted the tranny, he didnt say specifically whats wrong with the tranny, but i know its a busted up tranny. He said it was a junkyard transmission...the guy i got it from wasnt very honest, or at least he didnt know anything about the car, because i had to pay thousands of dollars in repairs when he claimed it was a throw out bearing....i wanted the trade my car in for a 95 vr4, but now it aint gonna happen cuz my trannys fucked and id be losing out even more money, i proilly cant even get 8 or 9 grand for this car now....even tho i put that much into it fixin it...

For everyone in Canada I called Transport Canada today and talked with a guy named Nick. He is going ot call Dodge for me and tell them to fix my car. They will be phoning me to make an appointment with my dealer. He said anyone that has a problem with their TC right now can call him and he will get them to fix it. After the recall is launched and they have got a proper fix for the car they will take it back again and have it fixed properly. I forgot his number at work today so I will post again tomorrow and give everyone the info. I will also be asking Dodge why they have not sent out warning letters to owners about the problem and how to take care of their car before the recall comes out. Then I will probably call BCTV and see if they will run a story on it to inform owners of the situation.

Thanks guys and I'll have that number for you tomorrow.

Is this guy only for Canada? Or for US also??

My TC is broken right now also, it's a TC made in July of 91 which is past the recall date (only TCs made before April 91 are under the current recall).

So would it do me any good to call him?
