there is a bad side to the CF driveshaft since its so light it has the tendancy to vibrate. heard lots of bad stories from other guys, not just with our cars that had it vibrate so hard it broke the yoke on the rearend...

FYI, I do have an active recall on my TC, but the dealership told me "it looks like it's already been replaced, and even though it's still an active recall, we won't replace it".

My HOPE is that when I take it to the dealer, it will be the TC problem, and even though the TC is broken, they will now do the recall on it.

If not, I have a warranty that will cover it, but it would be nice to just deal with a recall instead of the warranty.

So is there a recal or not? I have a 92 RT/TT and the t-case spoll is stripped and so is the outputshaft. If there is a recall what can I do so Mitsh. would change it?

just called daimler chrysler canada. Same story as before. They said there is a recall, my vehicle will be included in the recall, but the recall has not been launched yet.

Possible bad news on this recall.... and asking for advice:

As many know, my x-fer case locked up this weekend. I took it to the shop today and from what they are saying, it will NOT be covered under the recall. My car still has an active recall on it (it's right on the computer and has NOT been done yet)... but since it's already been replaced before, they are saying they probably will not be able to recall it.

BTW, I'm almost sure it's a '93 x-fer case in there, my car is a '91.

I guess I post this for 2 reasons:

1. If anyone else runs into the same thing as me, (ie. they've already paid in the past to replace it), you may not be able to get the recall.

2. Who can I call/what can I do to take this to the next level?

Dodge is not willing to admit there is a recall on my car at all. I recall Transport Canada mentioning that I should call them back of something isn't done by Oct. so I'm going to givethem a call tomorrow and also if anyone wants to send me their story I will be contacting the local TV station if Transport Canada can't get them to do the recall for me.
