I have the same problem as VR4-Maniac.
Who is to say that the female part of the transfer case didnt let go causing the output shaft to strip. Maybe that is why there are 100's of people who have problems with there output shafts suddenly stripping. I think if the transfer case has been recalled, it should cover parts that are dirrectly affected by it. I just purchased a new female input and a new output shaft from Kormex. I am hopping to get reimbursed for at least the female input on the transfercase. i have a 1991 VR4. Has anybody had any luck getting new Transfer cases??? I am gonna try and call some dealers tomorrow and see what i can get done. If anybody has any "magic" numbers that i can call to get free transfer case parts, please let me know. -Rex |

After emailing Chrysler Canada asking them what they are doing about our problem they replied with this...
We have received your email further to your telephone contact with our Customer Assistance Centre regarding your 1994 Dodge Stealth R/T. The time and effort you took to communicate your opinion is appreciated. Comments of the kind offered in your note are always a welcomed and important way of getting feedback. It is a help in providing the greatest possible satisfaction for customers. As previously advised, your vehicle does not require service for any recall campaign issued by DaimlerChrysler Canada at this time. We have ensured that your address is current on our database. Should your vehicle be involved in a future campaign, you will be notified by mail. If your address changes, please notify us by calling 1-800-373-1474. Thank you for taking the time to email DaimlerChrysler Canada. Dealing with them is a waste of time and I think it's just about time to involve lawyers or media. I'll try emailing them a bit more and then maybe call the local TV Station.

Here is the situation in Australia. If they are telling the truth, It looks like Mitsubishi Japan has decided to act. Chances are that if the issue gets resolved in Australia by early November, you guys will hear some (hopefully good) news around the same time.
Judging by the e-mail below though, they may decide not to issue a recall in here. ![]() good luck. Steve Quote:
