That's what I'm doing and I'm getting black oil marks all over the driveway .... I even killed a patch of grass next to my house cause I had to park on it when I had a bunch of people come over for the packer game.

Someone told me that they had theirs done already and they are just building up invintory on the TC's before the send the letters out. I don't know where he got the information from becasue I just phoned Chrysler Canada and they told me there is no recall for my car. I've been waiting 6 months with my car up on blocks for this redesigned TC and it's starting to piss me off. He said he called them and they sent him a letter telling the dealer to do the recall. Don't know if he's on glue or what but I"ll email him again and ask more questions when I go home today.

That person posted in this thread a page or two back.

Now that it's been 6 months and I'm really getting pissed off without my car I decided to send them a nice little email and this is what I said..

About 6 months ago there was a recall issued by Transport Canada and the NHTSA for the AWD Transfer Cases on Dodge Stealths and Mitsubishi 3000 GT's. 2 weeks prior to the recall I was nearly killed from the same reason the transfer cases were recalled. I am a member of a Stealth and 3000GT club and just about everyone has been aware of this recall for the past 6 months. Needless to say there are a lot of members that have nearly been killed in the past year due to this problem. I have contacted Chrysler Canada a few times about this but have got quite a rude responce with everyone I have talked to there. The members of our club seem to think that their lives are a more serious issue than Chrysler Canada and would like some kind of update on the the problems with our cars. Any information you can give me to pass on to other members would be great. If you would like to contact some of the other people in my situation you can visit our club page at
WWW.3SI.ORG

If anyone else would like to give them a kick in the a** go to http://www.daimlerchrysler.ca/ and go to the owners section. In there you can send them an email.

This is the email I wrote to the manager of the service department here in town... Feel free to use it if you want. You would be surprised how quick they called my after they relealized that I would take legal action in the event of an accident.

There is an OFFICIAL NHTSA RECALL (campaign recall # 02V143001) on my 1992 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. Information regarding this recall can be found at http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/proble...s/central2.cfm

I would like to inform you in writing that the only way that a recall can appear on the NHTSA web site is if the manufacturer submits the recall notice.

I own a 3000GT VR4 as covered under the recall. This vehicle is my primary form of transportation and as the transfer case is defective poses a DIRECT physical danger to me, my passengers and to others on the road. An official recall has been declared and I would like you to contact those in charge of the recall and ask when the parts/fix will be available and when I as an owner will be notified.

I would also like to inform you that should an accident occur after the recall has been posted as a direct result of a transfer case failing I will take legal action, as the recall has been posted but no action has yet been taken by Mitsubishi to correct this dangerous problem.

Thank you,

From what I've heard Canada has nothing to do with the NHTSA and doesn't have to do anything they say. I'll see what's going on though. I have yet to get a reply on my email so far.

Default Great... Nothing is happening

OK. So far the parts are not made yet. I just checked the mitsubishi notheast part division in New Jersey. They actually knew that recall is processing something that I didn't expected them to know about. That was good because I could save my 10 min phone call.. I guess we just have to be paitient.
