I REALLY hope its not just for the C ring, my TC's bearings are shot, its full of metal shavings and there is tons of play in my driveline because of it. Keeping my fingers crossed...

Same here...if the do the whole TC, all I will have to do is replace the stupid output shaft. Can you do that with the tranny in the car?? I remember someone one here saying it was possible.

It is possible to replace the output shaft without taking out the tranny. www.vr4stealth.com has the pics/instructions on that (under repair,transmission). Hope that helps you.
lovely..... pats everyone at the NHTSA on the head--- only realizes that he just spent 100$ on new transfer case gaskets, due to leak, and DAMN WELL better get reimbursed .... its funny, ive been waiting for this forever, finally bought and installed the stuff, 1 week later its recalled .... time to yell at friendly mitsu dealer
