Default called mitsu

I called the phone number mitsu listed on the website for service questions

My call was handled by 'John' and he pretty much said that they had no information and 'knew nothing' about a recall

I even told him about the recall research performed by Pomona mitsu in march...he made a note of the call/ leaking TC and told me as soon as info came available he would pass it on.......

Same thing at the dealership near me. They have no info, never heard anything and think I am crazy if I think Mitsu will recall all the AWD cars from 93 up to replace a major component. He offered to do it now for me at my dime if I wanted.

I'm confused. I called Mitsubishi Sweden to ask their take on this, and they did in fact call the US organization and talked to, what this Swedish guy claimed was the US Head of Service Dept. No recall other than the 'old' 1991 recall.

They did also claim that no wheel-lockups had ever occured in Europe (sic! I know it has, just that our insurance co's rather pay and forget than investigate. All is blamed on speeding.)

I'll have my fingers and toes crossed for this one to actually happen...
