You never know, 8 weeks is a long time for them to come up with some sort of BS excuse why they won't replace it...

The "new and improved" (quote from the service manager) transfer case, will be shipped to the dealership in 7-8 weeks.
So basically I get to bag on my TC all I want, and I get a brand new TC in two months!
/me does happy dance now...
hey man, you should get that in writing

It's, for lack of a better word, a ribbed box under your car. I believe it's a golden color - or it may be covered in black oil if it's leaking. It's function? To get power to your rear wheels.

Default umm. I'm confused

I'm very confused actually. I was dumb and left my lights on, on the vr4 so my radio no longer works til I get the code. I contacted Mitsubishi and ask'em if I can just come in and have this taken care of or if I can do it over the phone. I also aske'em if they received a recall# for the Transfer Cases. they said they haven't received any # for it, however the recall for the transfer cases has been in existance for a long time. he made it seem as if it was out there for ages. are only certain dealerships being annoying or what's going on ?

There was a recall in 92 or 93 I believe for the 91 transfer cases, but that recall was never applied to any other year. Yes, the 91 transfer case is exactly the same as the rest even though the rest were never recalled. Go figure.

However, hopefully this time it will be a new design instead of just replacing it with a new one that will be faulty in another 80,000 miles.

now I'm even more confused than lol. the dealership knows that I have a 95. when I told'em it's a 95 they said that they can see that from my records (smartasses but they're cool). *shrugs* oh well, I guess I'll find out on friday at 2pm

on the more positive side, the dealership will give me my radio code at no charge, and no argument with them lol
