All 3/S's should be on recall for the brake hoses. You should have gotten something in the mail if your car is registered at a dealer.

As hard as it may be to get the dealer to recall something, when they do, they do it right. I would imagine that they would inspect for leakage, replace the seals and fill with fluid leaking or not, if it is leaking and there are signs of bearing wear (such as the wrrrrr noise described earlyer) you would be getting a new TC all together sense the dealer says these things are none serviceable. Which, not that I think about it, may be part of the reason there isn't a recall yet. With all the recall work I have done at Dodge we NEVER did any sort of parts swapping between customers because you never knew what kind of shape the old part was in and we didn't want any lawsuits for killing people or have to replace an engine or something. We always replaced the questionable parts with new ones. Weather or not the new parts were any better or not is questionable. But we didn't go parts swapping.

lol, not only have dealers not been notified yet, but mitsubishi apparently hasn't been notified either. I just talked to both a dealer and called the main mitsubishi office for the usa. They all thought i was crazy .

It sucks to be me! My 95 was thrown into a pole last feb. because of this. Ya, the insurance company paid off the rest of the car and gave me the rest of the NADA value, but come on! That was my dream car!

This is probably why the dealers dont know anything yet.

My car has been off the road since it locked up about a month ago. It's in the tranny shop now and I've been calling Dodge Canada and the NHTSA trying ot get info but have come up with nothing so far. I'm going to call dodge again tomorrow with the NHTSA Campaign number (02V143002) and see what they have on that. I tried to order gears to fix it myself but I'm not sure if the 1995 stealth gears will fit the 94 housing. I might just leave the transfer case out and drive it as FWD untill more information is available on the recall. I'll post any updats I get when I call them tomorrow.

Krusher the NHTSA is an American thing, for Canada we have to go through Transport Canada :http://www.tc.gc.ca/RoadSafety/recalls/recintro_e.htm
And they havent yet posted the same recall as the one for the NHTSA, I've called/emailed them about but havent gotten a response so far.

Talking Keep us Canadians updated!

Hey W3apon...keep all of us Canadians updated...it will probably take quite longer since it is quite difficult for Transport Canada to actually do anything but issue stringent laws...oh well
