Question -- Stage 1,2,3 use same Pressure Plate-- ???~?

Hey guys,

do the spec 1,2,3 use the same pressure plate? (just different clutch disks??)...

Also, how does an ACT street clutch kit hold only 390hp and an RPS Street Max hold around 500hp? (is it because the oem clutch disks are better than the aftermarket ones?)

Default Re: -- Stage 1,2,3 use same Pressure Plate-- ???~?

I actually just spoke with Spec today regarding this very question. I have a spec stage II and it is all ready slipping on easy launches. Anyways according to a Matt at Spec the stage II, III, and IV clutches all use the same pressure plates. It is the actual disc that increases the holding power of the clutch assembly. My plan is to keep my stage II PP and bump up to a stage II or IV disc. So with specs clutchs, i understand that they are the same. Hope this helps.
