Default Sigh! Can't stay away long (output shaft issue?)

So I haven't been on the board much lately. I missed you guys! Anyways, merging onto a major street from a highway, slow roll clutch in, put it in second clutch out "(metal scratching gnashing noises) BANG!" Car hold up 1/2 a second, drives fine (or so I thought). Get to the car wash, notice first gear is a little light. Engine is revving at low rpms and catching at higher ones with the clutch out. Put it in second, it goes better, but not good. I thought I already blew my VCU so I kinda drove the hell out of it (in anger).
Slips at low rpms, catches at higher ones and barely noticeable in high gears besides a noticeable (like 6psi but Im running 12) lack of power. Can barely go up a hill in first gear. On/off light scratching/gnashing sounds. Got home, e-brake on, let off clutch something is slipping and grinding sounds.
Put car in garage and jacked up the right pass wheel, won't spin freely so hopefully VCU is good despite that I drove like 40 miles this way. Sound like a worn OS/Tcase input spool? Any tests I can use to isolate the OS? Couldn't think of anything else besides some kind of clutch destruction. Any insight is appreciated, Thanks Guys!
Chris

You can turn the driveshaft to listen for noises by the transfercase. TAking the transfercase off is not that bad. Just drop the downpipe and like 5 bolts. I have mine off. My ouput shaft is severely worn, but not stripped.
I have one coming on monday.
