Default Output shaft spool from MW - 1st design vs. 2nd design?

Hey I was talking to Travis from MW today and he said something about first design t-case spool and second design t-case spool, but didn't know the difference (as in application...), does anybody know what the diff is? I need an OS and spool for a 25 spline 5spd.

First design is probably the 18 spline, and the 2nd design being the 25 spline. Unless the coming of the 6spd transmission changed the spool??

Pressing off the transfer case spool is scary. It took lots of force to do mine, and every time it would move some, it would make a big BANG noise.

He was probably refering to the bearing size that is different between the early (1991)18 spline tc's spool, and the newer(late 91-92) 5-speed tc's which were 18 spline and then switched to 25 spline in 93. If you have a 5-speed 25 spline, there is only one spool that should be listed.

Hey so yeah I was talking with Travis again after getting the t-case sleeve out of the t-case, and we determined that he didn't have the 25-spline 5spd sleeve, he must have the 6 spd, because his sleeve is almost 5 1/2" long, whereas the one out of our t-case is 5" long. Anyways, he has a WHOLE BUNCH of unbought t-case sleeves laying around (something like 18), in 25 spline, but not for 5 spd. =P So I told him I'd let you guys know that he has them... call him up at Mark Williams if you ever need a 300M sleeve!

1992 model years came with 25 spline. Thats what mine is. Numbers stamped on engine/transmission match the car. 68,000 miles and the spline was heavily worn. Chances that it is not orignally are very slim.
