Default Oil on clutch, ok to reuse?

I purchased a rebuilt Kormex trans and it was shipped with a small crack in the bell housing which had rtv over it. Frank said it should hold but i was more than welcome to ship it back to have it swapped out. I couldnt ship it back because my association was threatening to tow it and i didnt want to pay shipping fees again.

Long story short the crack leaked fluid on the clutch. The clutch and pressure plate have less than 2000 miles on them.
1) is it ok to reuse the clutch face? I figure i should replace it because of the tranny fluid.
2) Pressure plate? I figure this is a no-brainer that it is reusable

3) what about the flywheel? I have had the stock flywheel resurfaced 2 times (2 step both times) Is it time to get a new flywheel?

thanks in advance for the advice i am just trying to bring my high school sweetheart back from the dead!!

hmmm, thats a hard one. I have reused clutches and cleaned them with something like carb cleaner before putting them in. It MIGHT be ok, I am interested to hear what everyone else says as well.

Don't use carb cleaner it has a lubricant in it, use brake parts cleaner.

you know that that is a reliable fix or are you just saying brake parts cleaner> carb cleaner? i just want to be 100% that it is gonna work because this is gonna be the 3rd and final time i am taking this tranny out. after this if there is problems i am gonna take her out in the field and..well maby not that far but to the auction block for shure.

Unless the clutch looks messed up, I'd clean everything with Brake Clean (buy 3+ cans and be patient!) and reuse it.

Get that trans welded up...

I just saw that importpower is selling a bell housing for $150 shipped. If the crack is small and you want to repair it, take a dremmel and grind a small v into it, then run a mig or tig bead in the v, grind off the excess and viola. And like adamvr4 said, as long as the only problem with the clutch is oil on it, it is fine.

Yep, I've done it with brake pads and drums already. Hit it a couple different times and let it dry in between and you should be fine.

As expensive as AWD clutches are I sure wouldn't replace it for no reason.

I am really surprised that Frank sold you a trans with a cracked bellhousing and then said it'd be fine???

Especially with RTV sealant. they could have at least used JB weld and had some chance of it holding.

yeah i was suprised about that too because he has such a good reputation on the forums but i would imagine he doesent do all the work personally. Either way it was half my fault and i waited too long to do anything about it now. In regaurds to the bell housing from ip i actually just bought it before i checked this thread. thanks for the advice all i guess i will be using the brake-parts cleaner as suggested.
