Yeah, those brackets in the back of the engine bay are REALLY annoying when it comes to getting the cam cover back on with new gaskets... Ugh... Just make SURE that the gasket doesn't move. Get a mirror down in the back of the engine bay with a flash light when you think you have it to be certain. The WORST thing in the world is finishing a car, then having it dump oil onto the rear exhaust manifold because the gasket moved. I only let that happen ONCE, LOL.

I use gray on virtually everything, well everything that needs sealant (which isnt too many things).... pretty sure thats what the OE calls for too.

Well, this is the post I have been wanting to make for over 8 months now

Yesterday I drove my car! Since this is the drivetrain sub forum, I would like to start out saying that my transmission works perfect and my cluth seems to be doing its job just fine. It will take some getting used to the flywheel/ clutch combo.

Started on the first crank. Initially there were some wierd noises but once oil got all threw everything, it sounds PERFECT.

Only prob is the rear turbo feed line is leaking a tiny bit, prety much only at high oil pressure.

Here is a link to the video, it was taken on a moto sliver phone so dont expect too much, but it gets the job done.

1ST START UP VID

Well, I took some random pics over the last 3 days and here they are

Just put lower intake on

Phlenum on

Ran some wires and shit

Random?lol

Ran some IC pipes

Modified rear IC hard pipe

Done basically

Well, project is just about done. Barely in time for the NG

Got about 80 miles on the rebuild so far. Going good, keep all your fingers crossed. Should be getting an oil analasis soon.

Awsome having 4 clean garages again
