Default Jerking on deceleration

Installed a Greddy RS bov today and took the car for a spin. Was kind of hard on it to hear the bov. Don't know if the bov has anything to do with it, or just coincidence. A problem just developed where the car begins jerking back and forth when decelerating in 2nd gear. It's like when the car starts lugging when you come to a stop because you forget to push in the clutch, except the jerking starts some time before it's time to clutch. Another description is: as you decel, the engine slows you down, but when the jerking begins it's like something slips - releasing the engine and coasting the car, but then quickly catches again. I fear it's not going to be good news, but lets have it. Any ideas? Thank you.

Your car has AIDS.

Check for boost leaks.

Could be compressor surge. Try backing off the BOV adjustment, making it looser, opening sooner/at lower pressure, see if that doesn't reduce the jerking. A tighter BOV setting will hold boost better (less likely to leak), and you can actually adjust your driving style to eliminate the jerking, you just need to clutch-in sooner than before.

Backed off the bov spring tension, and yes that reduced the bucking - what a relief, great! Thought something went bad with the drivetrain, especially since I just posted a thread about synchromesh in the TC, lol.

It is open atmos., but may be going back to recirc soon. Need to experiment a little, see what I prefer. You guys are the greatest, thanks for the input.
