Hello,

Before we can give you a price quote we need to know exactly what you want. We sell 3S synchronizer rings only. For a price quote, please email us with the outer diameter of the ring, which gear, and which transmission.

Thanks,

Jon

Subject: 6 speed parts
Hello, I'm Jack from www.jackstransmissions.com. Sorry, but Jon needs to be updated... His reply is old. We sell ALL OF THE PARTS YOU NEED for the 3S 5 and 6-speed units. Here are a couple of pics from my last order below. They are brand NEW genuin Mits parts! Not refurbed, not used. The only problem is it takes me about 2 months to get this stuff in. I have some in stock, but not much. I posted about this awhile back when a guy was trying to argue with me about why my builds are so expensive. I told him it was because we used NEW parts. Nobody seemed to really believe me, so I just said the hell with it and really haven't posted since. Seems like this forum likes to piss off those that can get the parts you guys need so bad. I don't need to sell these parts, we make enough and use these on our builds. I am going to update my site with a lower cost rebuild for the 3S and parts sales soon if you want to buy some. Prices might be around $150-200 per gear, 200 for the slider assemblies and $75-250 per synchro blocker ring assembly. Not just one ring, all 3 for 1st and 2nd.

Here are a few gears and rings:

1-2 hub and slider. Brand new with balls, springs and keys:

Late 3-4 ring:

1-2 ASSEMBLY, not just the friction ring:

New gear:

I know of at least 7 local people who would be interested in parts for both 5-speed and 6-speed AWD trannies. We've rebuilt units before and were getting parts for personal use from Autocraft until they stopped stocking them. Being able to get reasonably priced parts from you would be a huge benefit. Please keep us updated when you get set up for parts sales!

I can sell them to you anytime you want really. Been doing it for awhile now. I just don't have the pics and prices up on the site yet. It takes a lot of time to do that and I have been too busy. If there is anything you are interested in, let me know. PMs work best. Thanks!

I can get and usually stock most of the gears and synchro assemblies. If there are any other parts you guys need, let me know and I'll see what I can get it for. I am having complications getting the reverse gears right now for both the 5 and 6-speeds, because it requires a bit of hacking on their database to get them and I think they changed something. I need those pretty bad myself, so I'll get them one way or another...

Thanks Jack, I personally have spares for most of the parts I go through on my trannies - but I will pass along the word locally that you can get the needed Getrag parts.

Thanks!

I saw that thread Jack. Don't worry about these toolbags on here. You provide awesome services and parts. I wish I would've known about your services before I had my tranny rebuilt at Northbend. Don't get me wrong, Northbend was GREAT, however I would gladly drop you $2,899.99 - $3,549.99 for the rebuilds you offer. These are BRAND NEW PARTS people. Everyone stop being cheap asses and realize your twin turbo car you picked up for 4k-10k maintains like a 40k+ car.

jackstransmissions FTW

We finally have a place we can get NEW Getrag parts from. I don't think many people realize this.

Hey thanks! I am going to offer an economy build for the 3S 5 and 6speed AWD units at $1500, just need to put it on the site hopefully this week if I get time. It won't have all the new parts that the other builds have on the site, but it will still be a quality build for the guy that doesn't have much to spend. Thanks again for the good word!

Jack

Edit: are you also on the DSMlink forums??

I'm not picking sides, never heard of jackstransmissions until after I started getting my tranny rebuilt by Northbend.

When I spoke with Steve for my rebuild, he stated that he is able to get brand new parts for the AWD platform. The new parts come from overseas which contribute to the high cost of the parts.

I'm just happy that we have alternatives now.
