Well I was hoping I could get a couple 3/4 synchros that maybe lurking around CRS to keep as spares, but as has been said already they are DEFINITELY out and NOT getting more...
From the sounds of it CRS just wasnt getting the Reman work on these trannies like they used to from Mits. Pretty sure its because we have become self sufficient provided we have the parts. This has probably burnt them, they were on one side trying to reman trannies for profit but on the flip side were forced to sell their stock to the public... and the public took it upon themselves to cut out the middle man (CRS) and fix the trannies themselves. Now they are just jumping ship all together, sounds like they were selling only parts and no remans for these. I certainly hope we are not left with nothing... Mentors source HAS to still be around.. it may not be easy to get ahold of but at LEAST there is a source there. Rob |

If they won't make good contact with Kormex or Jeff....why not one of us local guys to CRS go over and get a complete parts list and price list of whats left in stock. Once that is in hand get it to Kormex or Jeff and then make the transaction? Basically serve as the middle man since we are local and avoid the whole phone/fax mess. Jon

I wonder if there are any other cars out there that have identical synchros. Getrag has made trannies for a lot of cars, is it possible that one of them might have used the same parts?
If tooling these things is so damn expensive, it stands to reason that they would have sought to build other trannies with the same parts if possible. |
